My friend and I used to take the large cardboard boxes in the basement (we had plenty after we moved) and make them look like cars and even put wheels on them (wheels from toy cars or legos, etc.).

I remember visitors coming over and just laughing at how ridiculous they were. I wish I had a picture somewhere to show you folks... they were loads of fun to cut out and color/paint. They didn't work very well though...

I wish I had such big boxes to play with when I was younger :/ Now it would have to be the size of a fridge for me to be able to fit inside one.

When I was a kid, I sailed to Greenland and back in a cardboard box. Vivid imagination was a factor.

huh, i flattened 'em out and drew roads, and schools, and racetracks, and grocery stores...i don't have them anymore, but if memory serves i had my island atlantis drawn across 4 or 5 large pieces of cardboard. and my mom and i would play hotwheels.
